Sandstone || Albany Slip Brown
Sandstone w/blue slip || IYFC Blue
Sandstone w/blue slip || IYFC Blue

No surprises here, just a few slides from the last firing. Thanks to all who came out to the FUMC Spring Bazaar in Pierre on Saturday. Sold enough pots to make worth my while. Taking some quiet time off from the studio for a couple of weeks - I have enough stock to hold me for my April show. Unless I completely sell out of "normal" stock, I'm looking forward to putting some time into some larger pieces and exploratory projects this spring/summer. We'll just have to see how that goes.

Just a few pots that I selected for slide-shooting from this fall's body of work. Some of these are still available. Some of them are not. The ones that aren't, I probably have similar. It's a bit late for Christmas gifts, though, probably. Sorry. Anyhow, these were "some" of my "favorites" from this summer/fall. Mostly that bottom one there. Beautiful. I'm glad it's going to a good home. Cause I sold it. And now I'm rich. Muah-ha-ha!!!

(p.s. - most of these can also be seen by clicking on the "gallery" tab at the top of the page. In the future I'd like to keep the gallery page sort of rotating favorite current and past works, a sort of Ceramic C.V., if you will. But not really. Because you won't.)

Coming soon: 2011 in Review, My Top 11 of '11, and Post #200!!! Maybe not in that order!

Pots from the First Glaze Firing - January 2011

A little late in arriving, my official slides of the pots from my first glaze firing back in January.  I think there may still be one or two not quite represented from this batch, but this is the majority (of the good stuff).  Enjoy!

Also, I have been back into the studio - more throwing, trimming, etc.  Also, you may have noticed an updated look on the main page.  I'm not a programming genius, but the Blogger platform has made it pretty easy to get a nicely customized design.  I'll hopefully be outlining the major additions soon - in the meantime, poke around and enjoy the pots!

For the record: have been digging Jimmy Eat World's 2004 release this evening while working on this stuff.  Takes me back to college.  *sigh*  Not that I'd be willing to go back.  Great chapter of life, wonderful time, but I'm over it.  With the exception of bills and responsibilities and putting in more than 12 hours of obligatory commitments during the week, adulthood is a far better place to be sitting.  Just my two cents.
Futures
Futures, Jimmy Eat World: really haunting collection of alternative pop-punk, or whatever it is.  Very good album that's worth going back and taking a listen to.
